Greetings everyone, I'm here to post three images (I'm sorry for not writing down, this was to be shared as image on the net so I designed it as an image file.)
So here goes a guide that I wrote about designing and making the concept of a game from the beginning until the end, please note that this isn't only for clickteam softwares as I only teach how to organise the steps. Thanks for reading (well I hope you do read it )
I agree with Deaval. All the parts are there pretty much, but I do it in different orders.
Not saying there's truly "a right order", but what I always do is first test out the fundamentals of the gameplay. The running, jumping, shooting what have you, just to try out if it feels right and fun.
Now, I always work in MMF when making games alone, so I don't really think that much about what engine to use, but I'm pretty sure everyone already got some engine to use in their mind when starting making games.
Also, I completely agree with using Game Maker/MMF and the sorts for starters. Not just for beginners, but for prototyping your games. Good read!
