Game of the Week Winner

An evil Tango army has risen to power, and it is up to your small team of secret agent operatives to shut them down. Johnson, the weapons expert; Vasquez, the firesupport; and Miles, the infiltration specialist, work together, each bringing a unique component to the team, insuring success.

*Collect cash by successfully completing missions to outfit your team with better weaponry and special items. Each agent can carry a primary assault weapon, a secondary sidearm, and additional specialized gear.

*An indepth mission briefing before each mission visually shows you your objectives, and the required gear for the operation, through a well narrated, and sometimes silly storyline.

*Successful completion of a mission, charts your skill, rewarding you bonus cash for exceptional ability in assault, stealth, teamwork, and speed. Gaining perfect in all four categories, unlocks secret weapons, codes, and levels.

*A lengthy tutorial teaches new comers how to survive in the field, down to the last detail of gameplay and strategy. This game won't be easy, but at least you'll start off prepared.

*16 large, varying levels challenge the player's strategy and weapon using abilities. Each successive level brings new challenge and unique gameplay. Plan out your mission with your minimap, use the strengths of your team to your advantage, and gear up appropriatly if you want to survive.

Very great game. It has Rainbow 6 and Counter Strike elements all in a super nintendo-like environment. I don't think anything like this has ever been made before. Great job Beau!

for those with corrupt-ness- I had the same problem when clicking the mirror1 link, but it worked when I used 'save target as'

Posted by asdas 17th August, 2004

Very good :) level 3 was a piece of cake though, why did people have problems with it?

Posted by Duncan 17th August, 2004

The problem is that level 3 crashes on completion.

Cool game. I'm more in the mood for mindless slaughter (just played crimsonland for the first time...), but the strategy involved with switching players gives a lot to the game. In my breif experience, the AI also seemed far above average.

Great game, except for the hostage pathfinding.

HEY. Level 3 crash is fixed. Download again. Sorry to trouble all of you folk with a second download. But the bug wasn't my fault. I just copy and pasted the events and low and behold, it now works.

Nice game! maybe I am the only one , but I find it really hard at level 4 :S ... so I think 2d games can be more confusing than 3d games.

Posted by Teapot 18th August, 2004

Posted by Greywolfexcel 19th August, 2004

Definitely a groundbreaking game... Amazing how much work has been put into it, including all the minigames which each have different engines.

after getting corrupted files i finaly was able to play tango strike. good game, runs good without jumping, but money runs fast if u don't complit mission and buy stuff for it(granades, etc)

Posted by Tigerworks 20th August, 2004

Very nice game, but incredibly hard (seems impossible to get to get to the tunnel in time to blow it up on the tank level). And is the Blowfish object really that hard to use? Tango.ini was a nice cover, but a certain file in a certain folder with a misleading name has the REAL data.

Very nice game, but how I can play it in window?

Don't like this.

Posted by Chrisbo 24th August, 2004

tigerworks, share the knowledge :o I'm terrible at this game, I can't get past level 4.

There are some nasty bugs what are annoying me. For some reason HK23 (or whatever it was) and Deagle doesn't work sometimes (I DON'T WANT TO BUY THEM AGAIN). And that doesn't make sense to that Vasquez is a woman and she shouts like man.

Posted by ChrisB 24th August, 2004

I had a problem where I ran out of bullets on the DE and started with no ammo on new rounds. Also, when you run out of bullets during the game (an easy thing to do with submachine guns :(), picking up the ammo doesn't reload your weapon - it goes absolutely nowhere. It's a good game though, but unless you have a sniper rifle you'll never get any stealth points :/ (And is that an automatic shotgun waiting to be unlocked?)

Once again, an unbelieveable retro experience from Beau. I am now more firmly convinced than ever that NOTHING bad comes out of FAIND....

LOL! it says the file "aren't" corrupt! BUT IT IS!

Posted by KlikFactory 31st August, 2004

Wow, this is a great game. Usually any game with "missions" frustrates me, because if I try at something for 2-3 minutes and I die, I get really really annoyed and I don't play again. In this game though, I feel like I'm in control, and I want to try over and over again until I can get it perfect. Very nice.
