This is a pack of THREE examples demonstrating how to make a small window that shows a zoomed-in version of something in game, at runtime.

• The first example is just a single frame where right clicking shows/hides the zoom box and left clicking shifts the zoombox's viewpoint to the mouse's position. The actual ZoomBox showed is a subapp that moves to the corner furthest away from what it is looking at.
• The second example is fairly similar to the first, except the zoomed area is auto-updating, and is on a semi-transparent HUD that gives you information on what's going on. Right click to toggle it again.
• The third example shows a scrollable frame on a subapp, where the viewpoint automatically moves to the mouse position and updates. The image for zooming is captured on the subapp and is shown on the main frame. You can select zoom levels 1x, 2x, 4x and 8x. Scroll the subapp frame with the arrow keys.

What is this useful for?
Heh, don't know. Someone asked me to make this to help them with their undisclosed game thing. I still think it is a cool thing, though!!

Actually I remember something like this being used for precision in Dreamweb. That could be a possible use thing.

I used the first pictures I could find btw, so please don't comment on how amazing my three year-old logo is.

What the hell? Ok, well if anyone wants to zoom in on stuff then yeah... :\ Other than that I can't think of another use for you unfortunately, but that's a mighty fine three-year-old logo.

Are these tutorials why you were allowed back?...

No I hacked Circy's account and changed my rating.

What do you mean you can't think of another use besides zooming in on stuff? The tutorial is for a box that zooms in on something, and that's all... What other use could it have? Showing close-ups of the results of a game of curling?

It could probably have a use in a sniping game. A bit like Silent Scope.

Ah yeah... It'd be a bit awkward though. I WILL MAKE THIS GAME!

Yeah that's a good use for it then, make that one the tutorial instead.

I'll make that a game and add a simple version as a tutorial.
