"God Won't Bless America" is a shoot'em up game in 2D and 3D where you are an alien spaceship and you have to destroy US flights, Twin Towers, McDonald's, Hollywood sign, Jesus in particles and Air Force One...
"In the near future and during a half-century, the aliens will colonize the United States of America in order to establish a military base and a scientific research center.
They will eliminate the unfriendly forces that could screw up their project and will leave Earth to continue their galactic exploration.
Neither human technology, nor God will be able to protect America..."
I reckon some people will be upset by a lot of things in this game: the twin towers; Jesus floating around and eventually being blown up; even the destruction of the McDonald's sign could be seen as offensive. Oh...and how about shooting down Air Force One?
Not to disparage your comment, Rikus, but I'd say offensiveness is a matter of perspective. I for one had some laughs with this game; whether that's due to my personal feelings on the topics explored in the game, or the fact that I'm simply insensitive, I can't say.
Also worth a mention, I found the game very challenging and entertaining. There are a variety of creative ways to defeat the bosses and end-of-level challenges. But if someone is offended before making it all the way to the end, looking past the "tasteless" humour involved, then I suppose the game really isn't intended for them to play.
Hmm, it doesn't seem to like my computer, either. I tried unchecking lights and shaders, and running it in both windowed and fullscreen. Fullscreen crashed to desktop, and windowed mode didn't work at all.
