This is a Beginner-Intermediate tutorial to help folks develop an arcade-style shooter. It's based off the old Activision game "Astro Smash," so if you've played that then this game will be familiar. Both the game and the MFA file are available.

Features included in this engine are:
- how to develop a basic custom movement engine
- how to increase difficulty/challenge level over time
- how to randomize Alterable Values
- how to "power-up" players, improving their effectiveness in the game
