Game of the Week Winner
26th December, 2004 at 10:59:03 AM -

I am making what I believe is the first 5-a-side football management sim with a click product - and I want you to submit yourself to be in it! I need your name, your position (GK, Defender, Midfielder or Forward) and also a random number from 1-10, so I can calculate your skill. Everyone's skill will be over 50, and every number from 1-10 has 5 consecutive numbers attached to it - so for example number 3 COULD be 60-65, and number 7 COULD be 55-60. I also need you to say which club you want to play for, out of these 10 options:
- Beijing United
- Dynamo Lagos
- Rochdale Rovers
- Spartak Baghdad
- Miami Mudflickers
- St. Dougals
- Racing Benidorm
- Slough Titans
- Young Boys Milan
- The Scorpions

Please use this format for you submissions:

Name: Y. Name
Position: GK
Random Number: 3
Club: Racing Benidorm

You get the idea.

Didn't Steve do something oh so similar to this, hockey game or something.

Although I like the idea of a Football management game, and being good at football myself. Or "soccer" to the Americans, I'll submit myself.

Name: J Broom
Position: Midfield
RN: I'll go for a 5
Club: I like the sound of Dynamo Lagos so sign me up to that.

OT: My god I got that joke out of my cracker aswell. (the one in your signature)

Okay, rant time.
As much as I hate football, it is called football. American's calling their game 'football' is a dumb, they hardly even fucking touch the ball with their feet and they have the cheek to call our game 'Soccer', where the nearly the whole game is based around foot contact.

To clarify, we have the English game of 'Football', where two teams use their feet to try and score goals and often cheat by feining injury, and the USA wussy rugby rip-off 'American Football', where Americans strap on their bodyweight in armour to play what the Welsh do every week in t-shirts and shorts.

Damn right. I think I should invent a sport where everyone has to make fun of the retarded yankees and wear kevlar body armour, under a suit of armour. Then, throw babies around a field, by stabbing them with swords, and protect yourself from the other team with your mighty shield. Also, if you lose, you have to take off all your armour, set yourself on fire and run around in circles! Yay!
Actually, that's a mighty fine game idea...

Anyway, here's some details:

Right now.

Here's a very early screeny of the game. The players are just random names, and not the ones in the final game - so if anyone asked to be on Spartak Baghdad you'll be there don't worry.
