I am looking for a hosting service (with domain name). I have no idea what features one should consider in such a service, but I suppose bandwidth and space is important.

Anyone has any positive experience with some specific service? Preferable someone who is "verified by visa" because I am scared about shopping online... too many pirates

Well, http://www.webs.com has a nice leetel hosting package I've been using for about 5 years, but lately it's been lagging a bit in speed. They are friendly though.

Domain names you can get on the cheap at godaddy.com, (saw a .com deal for $3 once) but some hosting services won't let you use a domain sold by another company.

My .005 cents.

I've been very happy with Streamlinenet.co.uk I think I'm paying £80 for 2 years hosting (with Matrixstats) which includes unlimited* webspace and bandwidth. Been with them since 2004. The service I'm on gets 10 MySQL databases too.

*of course it's not unlimited but my site takes up 8gb and I get around 65gb a month bandwidth (2gb a day approx), even after Sam was released I was using up 30gb per day on some occasions and they never contacted me about going over. Whatever the limit it's a big 'un!
