Perhaps just change the "Picture me this" forum to a General Competitions forum. I'm having trouble keeping up with what's currently running and what isn't. Over at Retro Remakes, they have a Competitions forum, with sub forums called "Currently Running" and "Past Competitions". //

SO, I suggest that only one or two members ("competition organisers") have access to make new threads in that forum. Anyone can post messages, but only those competition organisers can post new threads. //

Seems a bit simpler than the creation of a competition organiser member category idea It'll all blow over.
