I have a custom font created for a project I'm working on. My problem is, I'm too lazy to manually insert each letter into whatever needs text. Is there any way to set up MMF2 so I can type with that font?

That seems to bee exactly what I was looking for, though it's a little tricky to figure out. Thanks Sketchy!

On the other hand, does anybody know a good FREEfont creator that they would recommend (for graphics outside of MMF2)?

Depends what you mean by "font creator".

This neat little tool does much the same thing as the text-blitter extension:

As far as actually creating true-type fonts is concerned, there are a few free apps that can do it, but I never found any of them very easy to use.

It's a web app that allows you to put together fonts with premade blocks and download them as ttf.

Interesting...
Seems like it would be good for making pixel fonts, designed to be shown at a fixed, small size - completely useless for proper fonts though.
