Is there a simple method of making an active object (set to the position of the mouse cursor) snap to an isometric grid without the use of any extensions?

Hey buddy! I see you're running the place now! Congrats. Yes standard 1:2 ratio.

Whoops. I made an example but I didn't see you said "isometric grid".

Here it is if anybody is interested anyway:

Ohhh man I appreciate you going though the trouble! But yeah, unfortunately I need it to be isometric which is proving to be a little more challenging than I thought!

Hmm I have tried projecting a 2d Grid into ISO, trouble is due to the scaling the mouse only works for half of the isometric projection.

Attempting a crafty bodge attack now

Very nicely done Sketchy . My bodge was a calamitous affair (looking for even lines and adding half a tile width to the cursor position).

I just googled "snap to isometric" and came up with this:

All I did was make an MMF2 example out of it.
