I've noticed many games on the site being unfairly criticized by others for not being funny or not being fun even though the games themselves are quite good. Sometimes communities like this make me want to stop making games all together. Don't bother asking for sources as all I have are copypastas.

Not sure lazy comments is the same thing as a toxic community. We're all pretty nice here.

I'd just say that the people commenting on the games could be absolutely anyone. Even at it's most popular a lot of the people visiting this site didn't know the first thing about making games and offered little to no constructive critisism. It was almost a joke for most people that they owned say... Multimedia fusion and had never actually made anything.

Try not to let it get you down.

I am bothering to ask for sources. I just went through the past 2 years of uploaded games, and could not find a single example of negative comments, lazy comments, unfair comments. Nor can I think of anything negative in the forums. So not sure what you are really talking about.

The community has been mostly dead for years, with only a few core members being regularly active. And of the people being active, they are pretty much all supportive and positive people.

In addition to what AndyUK (One of those supportive and positive people ) said, judge the site by it's recent contributions, not age old content where in all likelihood those people are no longer even part of the community.
