Click Convention 2005 Officially Announced
News posted 28th April, 2005 by The Chris Street
The details of the next Click Convention have been confirmed! If you live in the UK it's a chance not to be missed.

Saturday 10th September is the confirmed date, and once again will be held at the Watermill Hotel in Bourne End, near Hemel Hempstead.

Tickets are available NOW! £15 per adult and £20 per minor + adult doesn't seem too bad, and remember, these prices are to only cover organisational costs. If anyone's interested, I look forward to seeing you there :)

Click here to visit the convention webpage for more information!

Posted by Hayo 28th April, 2005

looks like I am going to the UK a bit too early.

Posted by The Chris Street 28th April, 2005

Will be good to see you again Andi :D

Aggggge it is 20£ for a minor and an adult, 15£ for an adult alone. Looks like minors can't go alone or something.

I think it's about time I went to one of these... we'll see how it all fits in around the Senior Honours projects that I'll no doubt be doing.

hmm, any cheap places to stay around there?

Posted by The Chris Street 28th April, 2005

You could probably stay at the hotel :) Or camp out in the middle of a roundabout near the M25 :D:D:D:D:D

Posted by Pete Nattress 28th April, 2005

I'm certainly coming, since I live in Hemel. XD

Posted by The Chris Street 28th April, 2005

Err... yes, I'm really 21. And by the time the convention comes around, I'll be 22. God that's a scary thought.

And all thanks to the grim reaper messing up 3 years ago :D (Of course, I will be there to terrorise you all... wait, wtf, december? that's breaking tradition! At least it gives me time to have something decent ready to show.)

Posted by David Newton (DavidN) 28th April, 2005

Quietly corrected!

i've never been keen on these convention dates, September 10th... isnt that around the date when folks are getting back to school/college/university? if they take that back a month i magically predict with the powers invested to me by daytime TV there will be more attendees.

Posted by Dark (DOE) 28th April, 2005

Well, you are older than I thought you were then Circy ;).

Posted by AndyUK 28th April, 2005

Its a shame i can never make it to these things. oh well. £15 does seem expensive.

Posted by Rikus 28th April, 2005

Can't come this year but i hope to make it for 2006!:)

Posted by The Chris Street 29th April, 2005

Posted by ChrisB 29th April, 2005

(I suggest you decapitate him near the end so he doesn't miss any of the talks)

Posted by The Chris Street 30th April, 2005

Heh I know you were only joking :) It was in poor taste though - about this time last year, my best mate lost her dad in a car accident, and I tried to be there for her to help her through the grieving process :( I also had to watch what I said.

Posted by Matt Boothman 30th April, 2005

Boo! Hemel Hempstead sucks! I think some of us Northern clickers should organise an alternate convention. Entry will be free because it will be held in a pub.

Posted by Broomie 30th April, 2005

You are right Hemel Hempstead is a shit hole. I've lived there all my life, it's absolutely bloody boring and full of weird people. One of the many infamous characters of Hemel Hempstead is the Bag Lady, an old lady with a huge hole in her forehead who spends all her day in McDonalds and picking up plastic bags to add to her collections.

Posted by Smeggy 1st May, 2005

LOL, Broomie.
