Talking Topic #16
News posted 9th May, 2007 by The Chris Street
Which multiplayer-featured klik game do you most enjoy playing, and why?

This is the discussion for this weeks Talking Topic!

You might want to choose an online klik game as your favourite, based on an online community. Maybe there's an offline klik game that features a split-screen multiplayer mode that you enjoy a lot. Your answer could even be based on the fun vs programming factor. What's YOUR favourite multiplayer klik game?

Please submit your opinions in the comments thread. Remember to keep things clean, and please respect the opinions of other individuals. And, if you have any ideas for the Talking Topic, feel free to mail them to me! Happy debating!

JFrudy's old account get banned!? Only becasue you made it with him Adam ¬_¬ hehe

I'm not sure there really ARE any multiplayer games that.. well, at least none spring to mind anyways :\

Someone make a 'Streets Of Rage' remake and that will win.

I played Bomberguy quite a lot with other people years ago. It was a Bomberman clone (with 4 fireballs shooting out instead of a + shaped thing though) with a lot of different levels.

Hmmm is it "Robotopia?" that recent one you had to spend a fortune on. Had nice graphics though.

Multiplayer? I have no friends to play multiplayer with

Ideas for you:

ONLINE GAMES:
Flannville
Smiley House Online
Super Ken Senshi
Machines Of Destruction

OFFLINE:
Mr Stump's Dentures
Insanity Deathmatch
Fatal Bout
Siege
Anime Rally

Seek & Dread Online was pretty nice. Don't actively play it though.

I think Stumps Dentures is the only non-hot seat multiplayer game I played ever on my computer. Sharing a keyboard is ugly at best and so few click games take steps to work properly with a controller.

It was back in college, t'was a boring afternoon so we had a game or 2 on MSD.

I agree with axel but I also would like to add Atu'los Online click MMORPG...

Definately Super Ken Senshi, amazing multiplayer co-op.

I like ZO (Zelda Online - lttp style) made in MMF2, but not yet released for .. you guys.

Posted by Flava 9th May, 2007

Definately Seek and dread online - played that game for like 6 months straight, then failed my exams.

Posted by Knudde (Shab) 9th May, 2007

I was addicted to SnD Online as well, now I just play Xops instead.

Posted by Hayo 9th May, 2007

Flanville was fun for a week or so

Posted by Reno 9th May, 2007

Barfer Sickness online was pretty fun

Posted by Bricnic 9th May, 2007

Siege was good fun. I remember memorizing most of the bigger combos, but some of them weren't really worth it- I found a good tactic was pumping out those log carrying teams like there was no tomorrow. People I played with usually didn't like me very much after that

super ken senshi gets my vote

Posted by 10th May, 2007

Siege <3

Posted by DaVince 10th May, 2007

Super Ken Senshi never worked.

I vote Flannville. Never played many multiplayer games.

Posted by Hempuli 10th May, 2007

Seek & Dread and Weird Colony. SmileyHouse's good, but never seen anyone there ;(

Ultimate Monopoly Online... http://quotecats.com/umo/ this game is so much fun, not the best documented game but there is a level of strategy i've not found in any other game (except chess, go etc - though it's closer to poker than anything).

Posted by Plooscva 10th May, 2007

Definitely Seek & Dread, was addicted to it for about 4 months. Glad I'm past it.

I once played Triumph! War 2099 with two friends for four hours straight, we all had to use the same keyboard at once, good times!
Flanville 1 and 2 were pretty addictive too.

Offline:
Snowbrawl co-op
Siege.. definitely one of the best click games multiplayerwise. Lots of different ways to play and depends mostly on skill, with a little good ol' luck.

Online:
Um... that chess online game that I put on the front page a few years back. Very professional, even if I did keep losing

This is the best multiplayer klik game ever!

Ewww, I'm not downloading anything with the word "pong" in its filename

I played seek and dread a few times, but I didn't really like it (not enough depth to the gameplay, you could see enemies round corners etc.)

I have played robotopia too, which was a pretty cool game (it had a few bugs with me) although I could never get the multiplayer working, which is a shame because it was a really well presented and ambitious game.
