General Poll #29
News posted 24th December, 2007 by Flava
Which operating system do you use the most?

A total of 110 people voted for this poll.

Most of you appear use Windows XP the most, which had a massive 77 votes. In second came Windows Vista which gained 20 votes. None of the other operating systems managed to get into double figures, but OS-X Leopard came third with 6 votes and Linux gained 4 votes. A few of you chose the 'other' option - it would be interesting to know which operating system you use the most. Click here to see all of the results.

.:THIS WEEK'S POLL:.

What would you like to see happen to the Clickzine?

The Clickzine team have been talking about what should be done about the future of the Clickzine, as it hasn't really been too popular lately and not many reviews/previews get posted on a regular basis. So I came up with the idea of integrating the Clickzine into the DC - so everything would be stored on a DC page where you can all comment/rate our reviews and previews. However it'd be interesting to know whether you think we should keep it the same, integrate it into the DC or just scrap it altogether. We've obviously put a lot of work into it (although it may not look like it) and so we'd love to carry on with it somehow.

Integrate it, of course! If that also means it'll be recoded in some aspects I might be arsed more to maintain the arcade on there.

If we do integrate it into the DC then it's unlikely the arcade would remain.. by integrating it into the DC I mean one page would be dedicated to the reviews/previews that we write. So the current site would be closed down and everything would be stored within the DC, if you know what I mean.

Integrate it, it wouldn't be so dying this way.
Also I DEMAND a weekly click thing like in it.

Hold on a moment, Wasn't that my idea?

Posted by Flava 24th December, 2007

Uh I don't think so?
I suggested the idea before doing the blog style Clickzine but everyone voted for the blog.

I'm the only one that wants to see the two sites independent. Because variety is nice. Though, the admins on Clickzine are admins here as well so maybe it doesn't matter =P

Anyway, if moving Clickzine to TDC means more frequent reviews/previews on it, then I'm for it

Why do we need the Clickzine? It has reviews/previews etc... but those features are already available on TDC, so personally I don't see why the Clickzine is here in the first place. It's not a magazine, it's just another click website.

Well, I'm not an admin here... but I'm very responsible lol.

I think it's a good idea since it will keep everything in one place and will be more popular as a whole. Having your game reviewed/previewed will also boost its' popularity as it will be mentioned on the main page, along with having been reviewed/previewed by an administrator in the first place.

I'd also LOVE to see the weekly click back in action.. I miss it and if I am able I wouldn't mind being held personally responsible for doing it each week

I was skeptical at first, but since giving it thought, I think it's a grand idea, and will bring lots more to both the DC and the ClickZine (as a concept) too.

Remove the Clickzine, bring back a more comprehensive Weekly Click, with interviews (and a button that says "click to read more" like blogs have). So the front page isn't full like.

Or the Fortnightly Click, or Monthly Click!

I'd like to see the Flava Hasslevania preview he said he'd make 3 months ago.

Seriously though, keep it separate but update more than every 6 or 7 weeks.

I'd like to see more "hands-on previews", where one can get an outside opinion of an unreleased game. And interviews, right here, on the TDC.

Reviews is already a well integrated feature here at the TDC.

With a Stig style anonymous previewer.

Posted by AndyUK 26th December, 2007

Yeah, you could recruit a team of Previewers or Reviewers. In fact keeping them secret would be great.

Lol, assimilate Clickzine into TDC! Then TDC would be like the Microsoft of the Klik community. Personally, I'd like to see more klik sites, but they always seem to go down after a while :/
