Tribute to Our first Download: Battle Pit
News posted 17th May, 2009 by Rikus
To my Shock and Surprise I noticed today that the very first game that was submitted to the Daily Click was actually still online! And you know what, it is not that bad at all! Battle Pit created by Darkjune was first uploaded on Jan 2nd, 2002! Check it out, and yes that is a purple fart coming out of the guys behind! I think thats more then enough insentive to download the game right now!

Comments from Tony (Darkjune): Battle Pit is a fun 1-2 Player VS. shoote em' up. It includes 5 playable characters and a tournament mode.

Huh, weird, because I remember checking the first download recently and finding that it didn't even exist! O_o

Test downloads were being put up and removed while the site was coded thats why it could be that this download starts with a 15#id.

This is such old news, for gawds sake Rikus you should be castrated and hung, drawn and quartered and have the remains flung over a rainbow.

WOW! This is the first time I have visited this site in months and what do I see.....the first game I have ever completed staring back at me! Its been so long since I have posted I actually had to create a new login name since I don't remember my old password, and don't have access to the email it was registered under. No I am no longer clicking, but I still do download the games every once and a while. After clicking I started dabbling in Blitz 3D and now develop iPhone and Blackberry apps ironically I am working on a remake of Battle Pit called "iBattle" for the iPhone platform. It's development can be tracked at http://ibattleapp.wordpress.com/
It brings back a lot of good memories seeing it on here and its great to see the click community still going strong! And might I say the quality of games coming out is unbelievable!
