New Project: Wake
News posted 16th January, 2010 by OMC
The fine folk(s) at Boss Baddie, meaning Dr. James (MD) and Mr. Pineapple (PhD), have posted a new project devlog for their latest non-Tormishire project, Wake.

"Wake is the short story of an engineer trapped on a sinking ship. His goal is to break out of the highest point of the ship and reach safety whilst avoiding fires, bullets and worst of all - water. The game supports an online highscore table as many events are taken into account to create a score. The full game also has full Xbox 360 controller support, 18 achievements, 3 difficulty settings. It uses a heavily modified Tormishire engine and took 6 months to make."

Head over to the project page to get a good look at some screenshots and a link to a stunning effects teaser.

You might want to mention that fact the game costs money too.

You might want to mention the fact that they're figuring out where to put the credits screen too.

This is it! Hadal was just a placeholder till I got a better name. Almost all the definitions for Wake apply to this game. It took some mind whirings I can tell you!

Oh, okay, thanks for clearing that up! Sorry to see you getting ruffed up over at Tigsource bro. Though they have and can be a lot more vicious. Trust me I've seen it.

Heh, the critics on TIGS are just the typical ones. Ah, I haven't seen the old klik community in a while.

Anyway, hurry up and finish this, James

Just logged in again after about a million years - just been reading about this and all i can say is "what a smashing looking game" and to the personal criticism of James, "what a load of crap!"

Can't wait for the finished product, it looks like it has atmosphere by the bucket-full judging by the screenies
