2011 Game Engine Contest Update!
News posted 30th July, 2011 by Strife

It's time for the voting to begin in Phase One of the 2011 Game Engine Contest! Three well-designed engines have been submitted and approved: A Grand Theft Auto-styled infinite loading engine by Don Luciano, an RPG engine by AndyUK, and a Turn-Based Movement Engine by S-M-R.

Which one do you think is the coolest and most accessible? Voting runs until August 1st, so that gives everyone a solid 48 hours to slip their ballots in. ^_^

Click here to check out the engines and vote for your favorite!

Don't forget - the winning engine(s) will be used in the second phase of the contest, where participants must use them as a base to craft their own complete games. I totally can't wait to see how this pans out.

1st of August is in 2 days, not 10. I think most people didn't see this when it was first posted; 22nd July. I doubt many will vote in a 2 day notice, wouldn't it be better to have the voting run alittle longer so that people could notice the poll?

That's probably a good idea, yeah. I'm not the host of the contest, though, so that's Sketchy's call.
