Lest We Forget
News posted 11th November, 2002 by ShadowCaster
In 1918, on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day in the eleventh month, an armistice was signed bringing an end to the First World War. It was a time for rejoicing and celebration as peace once more prevailed throughout the nations.

Lest We Forget. Remembrance Day 2002

What do I write here? I just agree with what this says, this is a good reminder for people who never lived through and suffered during any of the two world wars.

In Australia, it's 11/11. To make it simple to remember, we have a minute silence at 11:00pm. In America, it might have been on the 10th, because of the time zone difference. Though in Australia, it's always 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

Of coarse he wouldn't know that. He's a chicken. ***Jon sniggers quietly to himself with imagery of a chicken operating a mouse in his head***

its always 11/11, just the day they set apart for it is the sunday before the 11th, so it would have been the 10th everywhere. Lest we Forget.

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, ceasefire was called, ending world war 1. Are you thick? Or just ignorant? The war lasted from 1914 to 1918. Thousands, no millions of Commonwealth troops died fighting for our freedom including Britain, Australia, S. Africa and India (sorry, the list goes on). If it wasn't for them we'd all be speaking German now. You should remember the war heroes, not forget.
