Project Overview
Preview Chronaccoon began its life as an entry for Sephirenn's 36 hour competition, themed around time. The premise behind Chronaccoon is that you can leap backwards through time and play alongside your selves from the past. Whether you fend off an enemy, hold down a switch, or simply act as a step-stool for a future self, you have to work alongside yourself to solve puzzles.

I (and others) liked the premise of the game enough that I wanted to make it into a more complete game. So far the initial engine has been remade (now tile-based, easily expandable, and largely bug-free), and the game is ready to be given new levels, environments, puzzles, and so forth.

It's on hold, though, due to graphical hold-ups, lack of good inspiration, and other general priorities.

New area tileset: Lava caverns

Well, I'm still fairly new to this whole devlog system, so I'm not really sure what merits an update...

Anyway, I've been adding bits and pieces to this game, and have just finished making the second tileset (and a background to go with it): The lava cavern!

It's a fairly common staple of the platforming scene, I know, but I'm hoping it'll present a bit of a change in the puzzles and levels, and give an idea of a more foreboding atmosphere.

And you can't tell from the screenshot, but everything kinda glows throughout. I just hope it's not overkill.
