Project Overview
Preview This is a game created for the Console wars competition based on one of my older games but with a few changes. Almost like a cut down semi-sequel.

The game is limited to up to 17 colours overall.

8 colours for Active objects (Sprites)
8 colours for Backdrop objects (Tiles)
1 background colour.

And there is a unique object limit too which is explained in more detail on the official website

I didn't keep track of the time but apparently it's the 31st of January. The deadline has arrived!

Well the game isn't finished, I didn't expect it to be finished and I lost interest for a long time in the middle there somewhere. It happens.

So what to do now? Release what I have? Finish it quickly or just abandon the whole thing?

Also here is another screenshot.

I count 19 colours in that image, forget the debug counter, 18 is still too many so ive messed up somewhere.
Getting back in the groove.

The game is already quite far along in development. I reused loads of events and tools (why not?) so development was fast. Until I hit a bug.
The original Lil' pirate used a silly seperate detector for each enemy, and although it worked it wasn't terribly efficient. Since then ive rewritten the events so each enemy has it's own set of internal detectors. But for some reason the ledge detection wouldn't work!! So ive decided to just cut that feature out.
