For those of you who remember, Dreams of Fantasy was originally being made for the DC comp, but sadly it is no where near completion so maybe the next years comp haha.
I have been working on dreams of Fantasy for sometime now and am well into the coding of the game, you may remember the Concept art pictures, well now the concepts are finished, the storyboard has been drawn and edited many times and the game is well underway.
NOTE: For the story read the earlier preview.
- Many Characters who have had many, many hours put into spriting and animating smoothly to create a rich, colourful world to explore and people to meet.
- A battle engine that is unlike any seen before in a klik rpg. Change you weapon during battle (every weapon looks differant and has differant attack and abilities). Use up to 3 players in battle at a time and switch between them. And now for the best feature. You may notice from the Screenshot that it uses Marcellos wonderful MODE 7 object, well guess what? With hours and hours of coding (which still isn't finished :/) Dof manages to bring you a more cinematic Battle where the camera zooms in and out and around the battle field. Yes, just like the newer Final Fantasy RPGs! In one of the first battles you are actually running through a battle field while beeing chased by enemies and you see other characters fighting off enemies all around you.
- A story which has had much thought put into it (Yes thats quite a find in klik RPGs). Bright and cheerful characters to sad lonely characters. They all have there own personality which you will either like or dislike, just like real people. Certain events can change the characters for the rest of the game.
(NOTE: I know that the ground in the battle screenshot is the one that comes with MODE 7, The screenshot is slightly old (explains why theres no enemies in it :X ) But there is my own original ground sprites now.)
