In the near future, Clickteam will be supporting the release of a "brand new" object for MMF. Allow me to describe it to you.
This object allows you to store an array of strings and values. Each string-value pair is associated with a key. Unlike a normal array where you access entries by index value, in this object, you access them by supplying the key. Each key contains both a value and a string. Various operations can be performed on the value via actions.
Additionally, entries can be accessed directly by using the address of the entry. This allows for speedier retrieval of values and strings.
Also, keys can be searched for by supplying the starting substring, ending substring, or any substring in the key.
Let us not forget that you can load and save files, complete with progess updating through the event editor.
So, what is this new extension called? Believe it or not, it's not the Associative Array object. This is a "new" object. I can't release the name of it, but I can tell you that I'm not happy about it one bit.
