Project Overview
I was looking for something to do that didn't involve work. So here is a preview for a game I am making...

Welcome to Industrika...
The city is overrun with the machines that were built to support it, something weird is behind it but the populace is struck dumb as the machines take on their own agenda. You happen to own an old-timer jetpack suit, now obsolete due to it's volatile and fragile nature, but the only available means to fight back - at least with all the modern technology on its knees to its new ruler...

Industrika is a simple shoot-em-up game with a very slight but important difference - you take your own route around the game. It is effectively split up into 7 'areas', housing different enemies and layouts, connected together by warp gates. These warp gates are protected by static factory machines - otherwise known as 'bases' - which produce drones to protect itself from damage.

To begin with, the damage you make won't make any real shockwaves through the enemy lines, but as you begin to pick enemies off, you can collect money to upgrade your weapons and jetpack to increase your chances of success. Which will come when you defeat all the bases, and warp to the final zone...

The Progress:
I've made a fully working version of the game so far with only a few of the enemy types (10 so far) missing and about 2 of the backgrounds incomplete. After that, the shop system and sound/music are going to be implemented before tackling the final boss. It's not a particularly large game, but I intend to make it not too easy to beat. Although, I've also got a minigame ready as a bonus for completing the game so keep your eyes peeled...

Feature Round-up:
- Retro-freeform-arcade-shoot-em-up action fun!
- Seven areas of enemies and environments
- Fancy retro styled pixelwork and parallax
- 12+ types of enemies and bases
- 5+ upgrades available for your bombs, lasers and jetpack
- Bonus minigame on completion
- Possible new game modes on completion

...so that's it (kept me occupied for a few minutes at least). Oh yeah, this is being made in Blitzplus, but the game was prototyped in TGF. I'm sure you won't mind.
