I'm shocked, shocked at the fact that you are making a game so specialised but with the same concept as mine.

Mine is also an isometric stealth shooter believe it or not, link: http://www.create-games.com/project.asp?view=main&id=1106

Will be interesting to see what you come out with on this one, looks really cool What are the green lines I can see in the screenshots?

Hi Klikmaster,

When I first started checking out the daily click, I was shocked to see that you had essentially the same idea as me! That's always a bummer. On the other hand, I'm sure that in the end our two games will end up radically different.

I have been following your project and the level editor looks impressive! I'm not trying for anything that fancy.

The green lines are the networks- any tech device should be accessible through the network to be hacked or disabled, etc. They aren't always supposed to be visible, but the middle screenshot isn't showing up for me right now.

xcom has been a huge influence, as well as the NES and Master System metal gear series.

The Shadowrun influences here are indisputable. I'm a huge fan of the Shadowrun series. I particularly liked the isometric RPG on the SNES and this looks like it takes more than a few pages. The gameplay trailer is stunning - I can't wait for this!

PS. Are you going to include monofilament whips as weapons?

Yep, Shadowrun on the SNES is probably the biggest influence (in terms of setting, graphics), and I'm also taking some inspiration from the pen & paper shadowrun just for flavor text and the like. No magic or elves though

Monofilament whips, perhaps! In fact, today I plan to add the knife & sword weapons (carbon-ceraminc monolayer folded fractal blades or something like that )
