If you're a fan of action games, you won't want to miss Warbot. During my lifetime I must've played over 2,000 computer games, and trust me, this game has quite an original style.

>>PRESENTATION: 5/10<<

The main storyline was good, but could be improved in many areas. I mean, the main character is 3000 years old??

The music fits the main menu well, and the dark colors add great ambience, so it wasn't bad at all.

>>GAMEPLAY: 6/10<<

When I started playing, I thought this game would deserve a good 8/10 for gameplay. But from the second level on, things started to get difficult. I can understand that the author of the game likes strength in numbers, but there's just TOO MANY ENEMIES!! You can easily get killed in a matter of seconds. It feels like the goal of each level is to run like hell, instead of blasting everything in sight, so that's a bummer.

However, the mini-games and boss levels are quite enjoyable (I especialy like the boss level where cows fall from the sky! X) ). In my opinion, they make up for the poor levels.

>>GRAPHICS: 6/10<<

In general, the graphics are okay. There are a few detailed areas of the game, but some enemies (such as most of the bosses) look too 'cartoony' for a game like this, and I don't really think that mixes well. Of course, they're all original, and since the author took the time to draw them from scratch, that's a plus.

>>SOUND AND MUSIC: 7/10<<

The sounds fit the dark theme of the game, although a few sounds, such as the girly scream of the third boss, are highly unneccesary. The music is excellent, AND its original, so who cares about the sound? Just crank up the Line-In and dig those tunes!

>>LASTABILITY: 5/10<<

Didn't quite make it here. Once you beat the game, you probably won't be hungry for any more Warbot action. Of course, Lastability isn't entirely lacking in this game, since there are mini-games that you might want to play again and again.

>>OVERALL: 7/10<<

In general, Warbot is a nice little action game. Good job, Mutant Leg Software. I think it deserves a sequel.
