Meeko Arrangment is a colourfull, action packed sequal to Meeko's Bubble Jump. I have to hand it out to Bibin - his clicking skills improve rapidly and this game is in many ways superior to it's predecessor. But not in all te ways

Presentation: 8/10

The presentation in this game is almost flawless. No more confusing keys, no more standard fonts, no more random object placement. The title screen makes a great impression - I just love the way Meeko slides in the view. Then it transits smoothly into the menu section - again, clear and nice with the new custom font. There's a hiscore table with it's new nice background and the helpscreen is designed nicely and does it's job. The in game effects - like scores, transitions, "game over" sign etc. are really nice looking. Good job! This time the game doesn't force fullscreen mode and places itself in a neat window. The only bad thing I can think of is the file size. The .gam file is 10MB large. I can't see anything in the game that would justify such a large file. Maybe some graphics optimisation would do the game good...

Gameplay: 6/10

This time we're offered only one gameplay mode, where our goal is to get Meeko from one clif to another in the oposite side of the screen by jumping from bubble to bubble. This is what used to be called "Progressive play" in Meeko's Bubble Jump. It's a shame - I enjoyed Survival mode. There are some novelties: spikes at the top of the level, ability to jump off the bubbles to bubbles below, to jump to bubbles above you and to preform "stunts" for some extra points. However I don't think jumping up while standing on a bubble should cound as a stunt. Not even a "stunt". The engine works just about fine. I only got stuck in the spike once And I just cant help feeling that there are more situations where Meeko's forced to jump into the void below in hope that some bubble will show up comparing to the Bubble Jump. It kind of takes a bit of fun out of game. Summing it all up - I have to say that I enjoyed playing Meeko's Bubble Jump more.

Graphics: 8/10

Graphics are - it's nice to say so - good. Not very god yet, but nearly. Completly satisfying anyway. I still think that Meeko is one of the better designed videogame characters ant if he was made by Sega or Nintendo years ago, he would be just as much of a video game pop icon as Mario or Sonic. Or at least Kirby The new underwater setting looks very nice and it's kind of calming. I don't know if all the bacgrounds were made by Bibin as well but if they were I congratulate him. The bad side of the new graphics is the large game file mentioned earlier.

Sound and Music: 7/10

Music is well suited and not annoying. Smoother than it was in Bubble Jump. Also I said in my review of Bubble jump, that the game had no sound effects. Well - it had. I just didn't notice - they were to quiet and... well... unnoticable In Meeko Arrangment you can here some fine sound effects reminding of oldschool arcade games. Overally the sound is OK, but still not very impressive.

Lastability: 5/10

I got tierd of Meeko Arrangment much faster than Meeko's Bubble Jump. To many forced jumps to certain death, only one play mode... The game lacks something that would glue me to my chair and made me play it over and over again. But still - it's fun for a couple of minutes. Higscore table improves replayability as you try to beat your own highscores. Adding some pre-defined highscores could improve things even more. Enough said - another coffe-break game that won't last too long, but will find it's fans.

Overall: 7/10

Meeko Arrangment is a great improvment of bubble jumping idea. New graphics and great presentation make it feel more professional then the previous Bibin games. And it is undoubtly the best looking game ever made by Bibin. Too bad that the gameplay isn't that good. Maybe some more beta testing before release next time? But still - It's a good game and it's worth giving it a try.

Thumbs up!
