OK Noodle you obviously have imaginary PhD's in Economic Analysis perhaps, and the Institute of fiscal studies is wrong silly me, I mean they only have Doctors in this area, and you are obviously more trained than them.

I hate rich socialists that try to control what i do, while mommy and daddy are very rich (sorry noodle but you sound exactly like my mate (rich and socialist), we are mates but jeez, we have have different opinions), and expect the working class like me to pay (and before you moan i am not a capitalist, i'm quite socialist in many aspects, but my idea of socialism is socialism, not this dictatorship). Ever been in a factory?, worked perhaps?, before you ask, i fix things part time in the holidays - amps, tv's, VHS recorders, DVD players and other crud, and have been offered a job as a bouncer.

I also have a boat load of business qualifications, so don't quote macro economic terminologies trying to look smart, and I guess I'm a nasty person, as I am trying to progress in life, and UK culture hates those who succeed.

And i expect an apology from Pete as he is the admin, and said i was talking bs:

http://society.guardian.co.uk/print/0,3858,5047790-106048,00.html

Look at the bottom three paragraphs. Un-official Bonfires are banned in the west midlands!, so they held the official one next to the animal shelter. I guess I wont get a apology, sorry Pete I always held respect for you, but have I just lost all respect after you cussed me and I don't expect that from an admin.

JP, we are not allowed bangers, air bombs and some other fireworks. We can use them before 11. And there's talk of only being allowed to use them on November the 5th and New Years...Thanks for the back up man .

I used to hold big bonfires for me, my mates and my family. I have been doing them since i was about 5 until they got banned , and all my digits and limbs are intact, and we used to buy the biggest fireworks in the shops.

Socialist maybe, but never rich. For example, my Dad used to be a radio and TV repairman, until the company offered him a redundancy pay-off. And my Mum's a nurse.

The only problem I see with this new proposal is that lorry drivers will go ape-shite if the rules apply to them. I agree it would be a ridiculous burden on an already overtaxed industry.

Also, one thing I spotted on the BBC website. The road charges will be "as little as 2p per mile in rural areas." So if you live in the countryside you've nowt to worry about. It's only heavily congested roads which will be charged at £1.34 (not £2.50 as you originally said). http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4610755.stm.

Hagar, did you read that article? It said "several bans" from ONE council (if that's your council, then tough bananas, it's not like that everywhere - maybe you should vote for different councillors). I do not equate that with "you cant have a bonfire" (i.e. illegal), and I did also concede that some councils do not like people having bonfires... but that that's a fair decision. Fixing TVs does not make you working class, neither does being offered work as a bouncer. Both me and my mum work at Somerfield, and she gets Working Family Tax Credit; does that make me working class? If you did take offense to my "cussing" ("BS" is swearing?) then I apologise.

Reminds me of an old saying my Dad says: "He's so argumentative, he'd argue that black were white."

Oh my god, ive been missing this. Personally i pisses me off to see people playing with fireworks, its an imaturity "lets blow things up" phase that in some cases, never leaves people.
