Also i'd like to see that battle engine. I'm still working on my own which will be a turn based final fantasy-esque style. Not with an active time battle but turn based.
It's getting all the animations and menus and stuff that i'm always having trouble with because the party is going to be changable with at least 6 different characters. only 3 at once though.
So far the game has 2 battles. You can use physical attacks or shoot energy. Because its an RPG, you level up and get 'stat-points' that you can use to upgrade your character. They work fine, and the game recognizes them perfectly, though it doesnt do much good, since I have only done 2 battles so far
The reason the file is a bit big is because of the MP3s, but personally I think a few seconds wait is worth it rather then listening to the same Midi file over and over. NOTE: DO NOT MOVE THE DIRECTORY OR CHANGE ITS NAME OR YOU WILL UPSET THE GAME'S MP3 PLAYABILITY
If you could tell me what you think of it I would be greatful!
Here's a little tip: Do NEVER use installers when it's a demo... I've tested a game which had a new installer for every version, it left a fucking mess..
"O RLY?" "Yes Really.." "O RLY?" "Yes Really.." "O RLY?" "Yes Really.." "O RLY?" "Yes Really.." "O RLY?" "Yes Really.." "O RLY?" "Yes Really.." "O RLY?" "Yes Really.." "O RLY?" "Yes Really.."
Im making an RPG, but im not going with the turn based battle. Im trying a real time with lock on etc, Its going reasonably well.
Look forward to seeing yours!
Hey! Im making an RPG too! Just started it, Its gonna be finished im totally sure. Im working on the opening scenes at the moment, taking ages! good luck!
I fixed the problem, now you can have the MP3s in any folder you like, as long as you enter it into the game's edit box. Oh yeah, it will remember where the folder was for next time as well, so you only need put it in once.
