Hi, I've never made any MMF application that uses the Moo online deal so I wanted to ask those who have a couple of questions please:
Would it be feasible to have a separate section (say in the options menu) of a game that is otherwise single player and offline where players can go to an online "store" or sorts and trade in-game items with others? I was thinking of when I make my next Equin game it would be great to be able to trade items with other players somewhere online.
How exactly would this work? Do you have to set up a meeting hall frame or something and then upload everyone's inventories from a text file or something?
Also, if nobody else is online at the time you go to log on, would the application still work? Would the person have to wait until someone else joined up, I mean.
Lastly, how the hell would somebody (i.e. me) test this system out? You would have to have a minimum of 2 people I would guess. Is the information such as log on names and etc. stored online somewhere?
Sorry if these are really n00b questions, but I think if this could work it would really boost hoarding nice but otherwise unusable (for your character) treasures in your single player game to trade them up for things your guy COULD use. I wouldn't want to make a solely online game yet, and although sharing high scores online is a nice feature, I think that something more along the lines of what I want to do eventually for an online bartering service would go over better with players overall.
Thank you in advance!

Yes, it's feasable, you could load up a list of people who are online in the store, and and it would just be a case of sending numbers to each other, so you can see what items the other players have.
If you want to test it, you can do it yourself, by making or downloading a moo server app, and running that, then opening up your game twice (You would need to set the server to "localhost" to do this
Those are basic answers to your questions, if you decide to implement this into your game, don't hesitate to ask for more help
