Does cncs32.dll or other tgf dll have to be registered or can they just be tossed into system32 to make a game work?

They can be in the same directory as the exe or in the WINDOWS directory (not system32 AFAIK)

No Benny, you're wrong again!
It's either with the EXE or the system32 folder (or just system in DOS based Windows (95, 98, ME))

If I remember correctly,
cncs32.dll for TGF must be placed in the system32 folder. I don't remember it working when it's in the game folder.
It was cncs232.dll for MMF 1.5 that needed to be in the game folder or the system32 folder.

Well I was trying to write an installer for a game, but I got an error whenever I tried to register cncs32.dll and cncs.dll with it. So kinda figured (and kinda hoped for the sake of my installer) that all you have to do is put it in system32.

Not all of them. It depends on a few things.

If it's a little 5-30 minute game, it sucks to use installers... and thats how most Click games are. I think that sums it up well enough.

you don't need to register the dll, a simple copy into the system32 folder and all will work correctly

This is why I love TGF/MMF 2. When you give your games to computer illiterate people, the supporting file may confuse them. But in MMF 2, you can have everything in one nice, friendly .exe

If the supporting file confuses them, what would they do with all the programs that have like 1000 external files?
