I think thats entirely unrelated to the fact that you entirely unnecessarily came in and bragged about the fact that you didn't care, directly to me. As though what I said was some way a hazard to your existence.
And no, not to gameplay. That already sucks, in just about every new Sonic game. But to a true fan of Sonic who's been one since Sonic 2, read the comics, watched the show, and so on. It truly does piss me off to see that Dr. Eggman is the name replacement for an otherwise more mature Dr. Robotnik. Something of which has absolutely nothing to do with you, so why don't you just let it go and leave the entire subject alone. I don't think I in any way proposed a comeback in this post, so I don't think it qualifies for one. Thanks.

Yeah, because that means that you're never the guy who started it. You know what? Fuck you. Yes, get back on topic. But stop thinking of yourself so highly that you can slap me, then think that because I have the balls to actually say 'wtf', and still think your innocent.
And this would be me bringing it back on topic... another word in edge wise about this puss argument, is going to be you taking it back off again.
I think a lot of the aspects that made Sonic awesome were stripped. At the time, it was more so mature and a less of a little kid thing. Which is the exact opposite of what series like oh say Sonic X are doing to it. I remember reading the comics and the older TV shows and loving it. What ever happened to Sonic living in a forest with his friends, and the only humans were Dr. Robotnik and whoever worked with him. I miss those days. Now it's all like futuristic tech and stuff, sort of like Pokemon.
I guess unless we want to be disappointed, Sonic is just something we need to let go in our minds, and remember him for what he was.
Stop harsh swearing excessively, absolutely no need for it what so ever.

Id also like Nintendo to buy the writes to Parappa the Rapper, and make a wii game out of it. Would be amazing, using wii balance board and wiimote to actually perform the dance moves to Master Onion's song.
As far as eggman/robotnik whatever, sonic was created sort of as a generic character that could be popular all over the world. They put a general concept of him fighting robotnik behind it and then he was further defined for each territory. Eggman might work as a name in japan's culture, but they made it robotnik in north america for good reason. Look at all the rediculous dating games and randomness that is popular in japan as compared to here. The whole eggman thing just doesn't work. Using it as a nickname to make fun of him in the first sonic adventure was kinda creative but after that I think it just got changed permanantly because of all the nerds over here who are obsessed with anything that comes from Japan.
I'll go out on a limb here and changed the subject to movies that need reinventing. . . Batman. No not yet. The begins series started off awesome and I'm sure it will continue to be awesome with The Dark Knight and whichever comes next. But you can only go so far with the tone that they've set. And I have a feeling it won't work after 3. So when that series wraps up I'd say wait 3 or 4 years and then have frank miller come in and direct a black and white version similar to sin city. Of course if his new movies sucks I'd say maybe let robert rodriguez direct a verion of the dark knight returns.
My other idea for batman (and superman) is to go back to the era they were created in and do a movie based on that. I'd love to see a realistic take on Batman or Superman during WWII and how they deal with crimefighting in their respective cities when their country is involved in a war. That was never able to be realized back then since comics were mostly considered for kids, not to mention that they felt compelled to make those characters into war heroes, going over and beating up yellow inked japanese soldiers (or maybe not compelled, but persuaded by the government).
What there should be is Lego Spiderman for Nintendo DS. But Mega Bloks has the rights to Spider-Man 3, so that won't be happening. Somehow, Mega Bloks Spiderman doesn't have the same ring to it.
However, no one said Spiderman was dying, so what if there were a full budget animated Super Mario Bros. film. I should hope that such a thing would be cool and full of action with a good plot that doesn't bore you, and leaves you wanting a sequel because you want more goodness, not because you want to see it done better the second time. If Mario and Luigi never said anything more than they usually do, (no "Let's go to Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom to save the entirety of the known living world from the tyranny of the evil Koopa King Bowser!") that would be amazing. They don't need to talk just for the sake of talking.
Wow this thread went crazy... This is a forum - a public forum no less; the entire point is to express your opinion, why bite Adam's head off for a perfectly sensible post?
Anyway, as mentioned by Slinky I would LOVE another 2D Metroid for the DS - there's a charm about 2D exploration games that I think just isn't quite the same in 3D.
Only a short while after posting earlier, I came up with another idea. It's actually an idea that I came up with earlier, but only just now remembered. New Super Mario Bros. was a nice game, but far too easy, and in my opinion, too short. So what they need to do is make New Super Mario Bros. its own series, with New Super Mario Bros. 2 and 3 being super cool DS games with endless replay value. Not so much the replay value, but they do have new 256 megabyte DS cards, so that leaves room for a lot of work.
Crash Bandicoot also seems to have gone the wrong way as well. Here I was hoping for a cool new platformer that was unstale and stuck to its roots, and we get Crash of the Titans and Crash: Mind over Mutant. I liked the GBA games because they were still about the boxes, gems, crystals, and good gameplay. Heh, but I haven't even played Titans.
Smash Bros. on DS.
I seem to never only post about one game.
Also, there seems to be a lack of movie discussion on this thread. Come on people, there must be some dying movie properties out there!
I played a demo of whatever that crash bandicoot game on 360 was where you could control monsters. It was terrible. I don't think crash has really been on the ball since the 3rd game. I liked how they just kept him on a track and it was about timing like classic mario or other platformers. There's already enough games out there that focus on exploration. The concept of just taking a 2D platformer and turning it 90 degrees and adding perspective was a good one. They also redesigned him for some reason making him look "punk" or something. Blech.
Yes, I saw the advert for Crash of the Titans or w/e a while back and thought "wow that looks bad" Crash Bandicoot was really awesome on the PS1, then I got a game for the PS2, and the loading time was ridiculously long. I had to wait like literally 5 minutes for a level to load ;__; not cool, Naughty Dog, not cool at all
