It does indeed look very cool, but I can't help but think it's very overhyped. Eventually the mechanic will get old, no doubt, and I have a very strong suspicion that you'll either end up solving every puzzle in a similar and non-unique way after the first three, or you'll get tired of trying to figure out new ways and just drop the game altogether.

Could be wrong.

Hope I'm wrong.

I hope you're wrong too.

To me, I think that the gameplay means limitless replay value pretty much, sure you will sure the puzzles and complete it eventually, but then you would go back and even if you don't want to play the puzzles, just muck around and conjur up some crazy stuff. Not sure if there's some sort of free mode to do as you please or a level editor kind of thing, because that would be even better.

I've been following it on joystiq as they post news about it, and it just sounds awesome. They employed 5 people for 6 months to just collect words. If it's not a piece of IP/copyrighted, you can pretty much summon it. I read about when they played it at E3 and they said they came across this puzzle where between you and the end of the level is water with a shark on it. One guy drops a sword on the shark which just bounced off him, so he dropped a hairdryer in the water. And then another dude just calls up a kraken to battle the shark
