is this to say that no one here likes 24? i think its amazing.
other faves are simpsons, the office, etc.
but i HATE the fresh prince of bel air. to quote from my TV mag: "All I hear is constant fat jokes, the tall one making short jokes, the short one dancing, the butler being snooty and the teenager learning a moral at the end. All this in favour of a Simpsons double bill?" And what a point. Bring on more simpsons!
I like shows like Buffy, Angel, Smallville etc with a fantasy theme. They're fun.
But 24 is my favourite. Go Jack Bauer! Shoot those terrorists!
Simpsons are good, but they should have stopped about 4 years ago. The new episodes are rarely any good. Classic simpsons involving Homer wearing a paper bag because he misplaced his pants. Now thats good.

I used to love the Simpsons but because practically I already saw all the episodes, and because the new season hasn't started yet here in Mexico, I got bored of it. Currently my favorite show is Invader Zim. Too bad Nickelodeon cancelled it.
Buffy, Angel, South Park, Family Guy, Jackass, Tom Green, League of Gentlemen, Red Dwarf, Vids. But sadly, most of these aren't on UK Terestrial TV at the moment.
But you know what? warning - swearing session coming up I fuckin hate this fuckin Big Brother bollocks and everything deemed "Reality TV." They churn out shite where people are monitored 24/7 and it's supposed to be entertainment? I can imagine the pitch for Big Brother -
Producer "I got an idea for a new show: A bunch of nobodies sit in a house."
Head of C4 "And what else?"
Producer "And we film them. That's it."
Head of C4 "I like it. Here's £100 Million, go and build a house and fill it with cameras so we can film them even while they're sleeping and taking a crap."
The same with that stupid celebrities in the jungle thing. I always hated the concept, then I found out the celebrities are fuckin getting paid for it too. It's all bollocks. There are so many stupid programs like that now too it's beyond a joke. They made a reality show about a Salon, called The Salon. They made a reality show about a club, called The Club. What's next? The Brothel? I can see that coming soon on Channel Five.
Whatever country came up with the Big Brother idea should be nuked and forgotten about. And if that happens to be us Brits, then all the better.
For comedies/sitcoms, the best in the UK were Blackadder, Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, Father Ted... most of the modern ones are awful, relying on stupid "surrealism" or something like that, but there are a couple of good ones. Well, one - Black Books. That's definitely up to the standards of the previous ones I mentioned... they'd better do a third series.

JACKASS!!! How could I forget! That show is GOOOOOOOLLLLD! Nearly piss my pants with laughter everytime I watch it!
Seinfeld was IMO the best sitcom ever made...even though it was about nothing!
Fawlty towers! Hahaha I loved that...i've actually got the entire box set on DVD, not many of them...but sooo painfully funny! BASIL!!! Coming dear!
And as for Aussie stuff...can't go past WHAT THE..?, the Logie winning Rove Live.
And while i'm there, The Panel is a decent show...informative in a funny pseudo-interlectual way.
Oooooo who could forget Malcolm in the Middle...barely get to see it these days with uni and all, but just crazy family comedy at it's funniest!
