@SolarB: well, hagar clarified that as long as you don't go overboard, a few extra Alterable Values here and there would be acceptable. We'll only need to review the source code/Events List if things are seriously far beyond the typical capabilities of TGF2.

I think his exact words were "don't worry about what you're doing, SolarB."

Well, I just remade something to only include 3 alterable values. I guess I don't really need to have done that?
Heh, having said that I do kind of need a 4th

You know what... I've decided that to save myself a bucket-load of trouble with trying to remember what I can and cannot do, I'm going to crack out my old Games Factory CD and re-install it, just for this comp.

Just two screenshots of my game how it looks now. The background is very basic right now.

It includes picking up and throwing boxes as well as a variety of other platforming staples.

Keep at it, Andy! I've been wanting to see another project of yours for a while now. Those graphics look impressive.

Making a little game about swedish summer traditions. Don't know how far I'll come with this, I don't have the best track record of finished games

Thanks s-m-r. I read only first post, my fault.
Can I use ogg format(Ogg is smaller than wav)? Tgf don't support it. I have huge library of my sounds and ogg resolve my problem.

I have started working on my entry and need some clarification on a few things please. Sorry if these things have been answered earlier in the forum posts but i am on my way out and wanted to post this before i went.

1. can i use If/or (if not how would i go about doing this using code)
2. can i use semi transparency (can't remember if TGF could do this)
3. i assume as code isn't being checked groups can be used (unless TGF used them anyway)
4. Variables can be renamed
5. did TGF use flags? If so i can get around my if/or issue that way

As soon as i have done a bit more work on my entry i'll post a project page.

Edited as Q's 1, 2 and 5 have been answered previously.

TGF used groups and they work in the same way. The only difference being that you can't lock them with a password.

Variables can't be renamed. They're actually known as 1,2 and 3 not letters if i remember right.

Sorry Lembi that wasn't in TGF1. I use them loads in MMF2 so it's a pain for me too.
