in my experience copying a whole frame from one file to another doesnt always work. I dont know why exactly but it could be to do with different objects with the same name or the events clashing.

copying events from one level to another isnt perfect either. sometimes an object is put to the wrong event. all you have to do is look through and correct it all so its not much of a bug if one at all.

No really, an annoying thing I have found that isn't necesarily a game bug, is when I open a lot of files in mmf all icons in explorer mess up and swap around/dissapear.

Or when you use extensions that are renamed for some reason, so when you download examples etc they won't work because the file names aren't right- I think that mmf should check the header of the extension or something, rather than the filename.

The sorts of errors where you've coded everything right, noone you show the source to can find a problem, yet the player won't move/shoot/explode/turn into a huge computer eating virus which will subsequently destroy the users computer. They usually drive me to the point of deleting the lot and starting again, which then usually drive me to hitting myself in the head for deleting the lot then starting again.

Jonathan Smeby:
Um... you tried changing the resolution or anything? Or maybe even reinstalling MMF. Stupid suggestion, I know, but sometimes it's possible to miss the simplest things.

Sometimes mmf2 completely makes all objects invisible. I always have to save a start mmf2 backup again.
