Kramy with the isometric code, psycho some coding and web page, Sanders with grapics and me with some AI and story stuff, are in? So how do you start? three coders and a grapic artist isnt mutch.
Well ... If you are serious about it, I could help you out. However only with the story/quest/subquest part. I am allready working on another project however I do have time to help you out on the story part.
It is not like I have something to show you but I can produce good stories preferably based on your ideas (or my own).
I just built an iso tile-generator for fun. It randomly colours them. Now I can start experimenting with a loading system. Well actually, that will have to wait until I get back from my trip...

Count me in too:
Itemdrop Generator *
around 20 Dif AI *
Isometric Terrain(MAP Loading) *
Pathfinding for Enemies *
Inventory *
Shop(Item Generator again based on lvl) *
Save/Load *
Maploader *
Unique Items? *
A good story divided into acts
Good acts divided into quests
Good Quests divided into subquests
A way to change players visible sprite based on weapon/shield/armor? *
A good way to calculate rdr attack/block rates in battles (what does Rdr stand for)
I can do all the things with stars next to them.

One question, how does the isometric thingy work? Do you need spesial codes to make AI to fit in the isometric code? becouse then count me out, I dont know a thing about iso. Then I can only do some small codes like: Upgrade character, shop, story, inventory. Maybe AI if it doesnt has to be iso code in the AI, and pathfinding.
Currently my plan is to convert all the isometric positions into grid positions, which can then be compared against a standard array. I'm about to leave though, so won't be back on for a few days.
Actually, I'm not even sure if this will get in, since I'm doing it all in Jamagic.(And it was indicated that every other programmer was a MMF programmer) Either way, it's a great learning experience.
Oh yeah, sure I can get iso tiles on the screen in MMF. I just can't map collision positions, or monster positions, or anything, so it'll be like having isometric graphics on a standard grid-based game. Kinda odd since then collisions will have to be squares instead of diamonds.
There are lots of good MMF programmers though, so I doubt I'm the only one that can do that in MMF. (But I have yet to see a true isometric Jamagic game, so am going to try that regardless.)
Edit: *wonders if there's a true-isometric Jamagic game somewhere*
the game wont be using Iso for calculations! it will be square tiles! but the collision overlays will be "Fake" isometric so when u play the game! u can't tell the dif.... And kramy im sure u got some skills we can use... There's alot to do in this project and we need more coders! But we need 1 hardcore coder to put the bits from the others together in 1 project! A Lead Programmer..

Putting it all togheter doesnt seem all that hard, that is - if all codes are completle flaw-less and dont need polishing. What do you mean by this 'fake' iso?
well basicly i was around for the first release! but my first application was 3d studio for Dos. on the pc! Before that it was something on Amiga called DoMy3D. Ive been modelling around 9 years.
By fake iso i mean movement are calculated by simple grid movement! But the art using fake iso. Visually it will be ISO. But in the code it wont
