Project Overview
The forces are awakening. The time draws near.

The Earth is nearing the end of it's penultimate orbit of the Sun. Bewildered, confused, mankind awakens from the deep billions of years after the Old Wars diminished into a bleary chaos of annihilation. Soon the Earth will begin it's Terminal Orbit - the last orbit of the sun before the huge fireball expands so huge Earth is scorched and uninhabitable.

The only way off the planet is via the last five surviving transporter starships of a once great galactic fleet. Mankind must reach them and leave before the Terminal Orbit is completed, or die.

However, the other side of the Old Wars is also awakening. The artificial intelligence robots with human minds transferred into electronic simulators have reinitialised. They still keep their hatred of men and have taken control of the Starships. They are re-arming themselves. A short war will follow for the first to capture and refuel the ancient Starships, and get of the planet - before either mankind escapes into the galaxy, free, or is executed on a shrivelling and burning firey planet of hell.

Terminal Orbit, is, quite simply, the Click RTS to end all Click RTSs. Fight in ground heaving battles in huge arenas battling vast armies of war equipped battle machines. You won't have seen anything like before.

The demo of Terminal Orbit is not far off. Nor is the full version, at that. But still, there is some work to be done. It has been rewritten from scratch and built up for nearly six months to create probably the most technically advanced and furthest in development RTS around today.

~~ Already coded & in screenshots ~~

Super efficient, advanced, fastloop based engine for high speed battles and good FPS rates. Qualifier based engine means the game can be expanded upon very easily - also very adaptable, expansion packs or even a WWII mod say, are very possible
Improved interface and easy left-click controls improve gameplay
Fully functional moving, shooting, blowing up, destroying and pathfinding
Fighting, moving enemy units ready to challenge your base
Formations: March into battle as a line crushing your opponent
Layering with the Layer Object sorts out the battle to make it look it's best
360 turrets and bullets allow for greater accuracy (or inaccuracy!) to make battles more realistic
Advanced pause engine: Pause the game but still scroll around issuing orders and surveying the game's progress
Everything from unit movement to scrolling is smoothed out: no sudden starts, smooth acceleration - much nicer to look at
Special effects on explosions and constructions for that extra touch
Improved, more detailed minimap: See bullets on it too
Construction engine done: Pop up a construction menu on a factory or construction unit, and watch it built - options such as the factory's Continuous Build mode make it easier to pump out a big army
Full version will include optional MP3 music pack download (for broadband users) so play is more atmospheric
Intro & Easy to navigate menu with lots of options and campaign selecting etc.
A few cheats thrown in here and there...
And six months of work more

~~ To be coded by demo or full release ~~

Stationary Turret defences for player & enemy
Enemy AI & base
'Orbital' level editor: Code, and code level loading and campaign system, then design and write the official campaigns & missions
Get rid of background, bullet sprites etc. and replace by better graphics

Get ready, Terminal Orbit is coming to a community site near you...

P.S. Ahem, the third submit since various database reuploads. Be sure to re-read the info, its much more detailed this time.
