Project Overview
With the advent of the Facebook plugin I have spawned an idea: A singleplayer retro RPG that can be played alone, but you can trade/compare scores with your friends on Facebook who also play the game.

As I am awful with sprites of any kind so I will be looking for someone who can help me with that. And also people who could assist with the Facebook plugin and the online coding pieces that I don't understand how to do.

I am in no way expecting this to be a solo project, as it will be a huge undertaking for me to do alone, so as everything comes together I'm hoping that people could pitch in with whatever they see fit. Whether it's sound/music, voice acting, or even plot ideas.

I feel people on Facebook would see this as a welcome change from Farmville and Mafia Wars.

Please tell me what you think in the discussion forum!

A Whole New Approach
Posted 7th Jun 11, by Matthew Wiese Post A Comment
I have decided that instead of making the RPG based on visual (i.e. a platformer and such) I decided to develop a text-based RPG. Something that revolves more around typing your commands, this will limit the need to sprites (which would have been the toughest part) and opens the door to a slew of new possibilities. A major one being I can focus more on gameplay and design.

I'll be back soon with rough screenies of what I've mocked up.
