Project Overview
Preview *Rewritten as it was outdated... badly*

Neonworld started out as an impossible-to-be-complete minigame which revolved dodging as many targets as you can while collecting the game points; and each level just get more harder and harder... I barely knew anyone who got past level 3 out of 15.

But the game was there, and so was the world. I always imagined this game as a hybrid of the movie "Tron" and the game "Chip's Challenge".

Well this is the half-sequel, or "1.5" in which completes the original game as a brand new puzzle experience BUT also contains a remake of the original minigame (still bloody hard, but possible to win!)

While there isn't much to tell of a story for this; the campaign takes a span of 40 levels; three stage layers, 8 levels each.

LAYER 1, GREEN. "Upper Layer".
LAYER 2, BLUE. "Plate Layer".
LAYER 3, RED. "Control Layer".
LAYER 4, PURPLE. "Corruption Layer".
LAYER 5, BLACK. "Death Layer".

This "top-down" game has dozens of puzzle elements combined into one, from key unlocks to floor and wall traps. Everything from the world to objects match in to the bright colourful digital world I want to create; and I'm going to pack a lot of background animation and detail to bring this place to life.

Despite the many puzzle elements being involved, sadly there will be no editor to making your own. As the code will be too "cramped" into making a working one, yet alone saving...

... which is why I'm adding various unlocks and features for this game. Including challenge levels, multiplayer (local), training and more!

Despite the original game being remade alongside with this, both will play different despite being set in the same world HOWEVER both will be difficult. "Return to Neonworld's" main game will involve more control over your character; so you be able to take your time and use your logic more often in the game field. I no doubt have plans to make this game frustrating and addictive at the same time.

More will be updated in good time... hopefully... we see what projects gets going first

As you may know there was a competition on this site running arcade games. Well... I was a bit late on the challenge, but I decided to make a quick remake of the original game which I lost.

I won't upload the game till some fixes are made AND how well it works online.

While it's not Return to Neonworld, it is close to what I had in mind for a remake of the original; and I might go even further to develop this game if Return to Neonworld ever comes out (featured minigame).

Here are some screenshots of my entry; and I can clearly tell you now that the gameplay beats the graphics. The game is VERY HARD, and on purpose. The battle for online scoring will very much be cheat-free; there are NO SAFE TACTICS TO WIN.
Planned Contents

40 level campaign (5 stages)
UNLOCKABLE challenge tower (50/100 extra levels)
Training
Multiplayer CO-OP missions (more levels unlocked)
Multiplayer Versus (more levels unlocked)
Two Minigames (One must be unlocked, another game mode for the first game must also be unlocked)

That's about it.

I've decided to put SpiderheadII on hold for a whole, and focus on making this a quick game; or creating Frayed Air as a whole.

As mentioned, the whole game is being continued; but under a new art direction. It still keeps it's "Tron" inspired world; but I like to show more detail in the environment this time around, as well as the game being turn-based.

Here is a "quick" screenshot which I cooped up. Wait till the complete graphics come... one day...

Here are the screenshots of the original look of the game back in 2007. While the graphics maybe more tidy then the quick pixel example for the current game; it's called "quick" for a reason.

Stay tuned for the REAL complete graphics. It be simple yet detailed in glory. Even better in motion...
