BIG News!

EDITOR!
Change of plans regarding the first and second release! I have finished a functional map editor for the game, and the levels are now loaded from the levels files! This means the first release will have more than one map to play with! It's my first time doing a level editor, so it's not very user-friendly yet, but it does what it's meant to do. For now I'm planning to share the editor with some of the testers, to get some maps for the initial release. Later on I'll make the editor more user-friendly and make it public.

I also added a nifty preview of the selected map in the main menu. (See first screenshot!)

FLAG CONTROL!
There's now a new selectable victory condition, named Flag Control, in which you control flags to gather control points. First player to accumulate a set amount of control points will win. The flags are disabled when Flag Control is not active. (See second screenshot for a Flag Control victory situation.)

IMPROVEMENTS!
Primarily thanks to feedback from Sketchy, many units and weapons have been slightly changed, there are new options (like playing without unit unlock costs), and some bugs and glitches have been fixed. The handiest addition is probably the energy bars for the unit icons at the top (see third screenshot). It is now much easier to control the battle and remember all your units when you can see at a quick glance how much energy they all have left. As a total result, the game progression is now a bit faster, and thus more fun for the average gamer.

I'm still hoping to make the first release before the end of the month, if no serious bugs appear.

I am. ;P Spent the last two evenings on the editor, and this evening making the levels load in game, plus the map preview screen. What is left is basically just adding a few new capturable buildings and options. If nothing comes up, it'll definitely be a May release.
