Some new stuff

Been playing around with a HUD design a bit. Consider this a placeholder version.

Switching behaviour between Offensive/Balanced/Defensive for each character works also, by clicking the button next to each member on the HUD. (except Archers, which still lack defensive action, so all modes are 100% attack).

Mages now have a defensive spell, Magic Armor, which casts a 40% damage protection on an ally in range. The armor lasts only 8 seconds, but can be cast every 3 seconds, so one mage can keep roughly two allies 'armored' constantly. Magic Armor is cast in Defensive mode, or randomly half the time in Balanced mode.

Fighters now also block instead of attacking when in defensive mode, or below 50% HP in Balanced mode, which equals 50% damage protection. Combined with the Magic Armor, Fighters can become quite the tanks, hardly taking any damage.

Those sprites are shiny. I'll bet they'll look even shinier once you start adding some scenery.

Does each class have both a male and female sprite set?

Depends on the number of classes. If I go for a reduced number, like 8-10, I might make both genders for at least some classes, but for now it'll probably be gender specific classes, because I'm aiming at at least 12 classes, and hopefully two mastery versions for each. The mastery classes would mostly be altered versions of the base classes though, so there's not as much spriting to do for them.

However, some classes are similar to each other, and each of them could have different gender. For example, both mages and druids would be offensive+defensive spellcasters, and the mages could be male, and druids female. Likewise, there would be a technologist faction/race, which could have male riflemen, and the elf(-ish) race would have archers. Both are ranged damage dealers.

Stuff like that. Overall I'm still pretty much making this up along as I go. So far I haven't deviated much from original plans though.

Sounds good. Having male and female counterparts in separate classes seems like a nice compromise in terms of graphic work.

Definitely have my eye on this one.
