Defend Yourself

Battles are currently in the works, and one of them just so happens to work: the Satyr battle.
He attacks with his club with one of two attacks: a baseball-bat-swing or an overhead swing. Status Experience is adjusted in correspondence with how well you fight:

Deal a lot of damage: Strength and Melee
Take a lot of damage: Vitality
Evade attacks: Agility and Dodge
Block attacks: Intelligence and Parry

Intelligence, Agility, and Luck also rise in random occurence with successful battle operations.

When the Satyr has lost all of his health, he dies. When you lose all of your health, you die.

How much work have you poured into this so far? The digitised characters alone must have taken ages! Anyway, can't wait to see more - the graphics bring back all sorts of mid-90's nostalgia for me!

Unbelievably, the project started in early October and saw enough progress to make a post here on the forums a month later.
The "monsters" are really just MoCapped (VidCapped) friends of mine, photshopped a tad, then rendered to the game scaling. Of course, cropping and recoloring and blurring and smudging and recoloring some more on each individual frame takes a long time!

The point of this game is to emulate the functionality of the old Sierra games like Space Quest, King's Quest, and Quest for Glory all while throwing in some major RPG elements (status, upgrades, inventory, etc.).
When I have a demo out, I'm sure it'll rock the gaming world!
