Mini-update
Posted 2nd May 11, by HitmanN
Still ever so busy, but I've managed to add couple of small things. See the screenshot.

First, there's a new weapon type, maces. They belong to the one-handed proficiency group, and focus on MGC, and slightly on ATK. Special slash attacks won't be available for these. Visually, maces come in form of clubs, spiked clubs, morning stars, etc.

There's a new decorative element, a statue of a goddess. Eventually they're going to provide some sort of feature, but I'm not sure yet what that feature will be. Possibly one or more of the following: HP/MP Recovery, shortcut to town/checkpoint, enemy-free 'sanctuary', magical buffs. These services could maybe be 'on sale', by making an offering of money to the goddess or something.

There are three unique weapons in the inventory in the screenshot. You'll notice them from the green glowy bordering. Keeping the stats a secret though.

That's all for now.

Nice to see some news ! The mace looks nice, it will be usefull for using spells.

The (booby) goddess is well made. I really like your pixel art design. What you should put is free HP/MP Recovery (it will be nice to grind stats), a enemy-free sanctuary... We will have to pay for magical buffs.

Augusto A. Duarte:
I use a combination of openCanvas, Paintshop Pro and Multimedia Fusion's own editor, depending on the style and size needed.

Very simple tiny sprites I do in MMF's own editor, character and enemy sprites are mostly done in Paintshop Pro, and large decorations are done in openCanvas, then downscaled and polished in Paintshop Pro.

For those curious, here's the full-size edition of the initial version of the goddess statue:

Since that version if was downsized, sharpened, screened with some colour and finally some noise added. Plus some brightness and contrast tweaks and whatnot.
