I could imagine people asking of a few things after playing the game, so I'm providing some answers here in advance. There are minor spoilers about couple of enemies I haven't revealed before, so if you haven't played all three areas of the game yet, you might want to do that first.

What does 'Hanuro Hawk' mean?
Well, nothing specific really. The word 'Hanuro' is an inside joke, and can imply cowardice. In this case it can be considered a story element, as Hanuro Hawk is partly a rebelling alien ship, as well as also part human ship gone rogue. It's not a negative connotation though. Afterall, Hanuro Hawk is the hero that saves humanity.

So what happens after beating the boss?
Within the 20 event limit, it was tough to try and convey the full story, but basically the boss is the central core of the alien network. Once shut down, the aliens lose half of their sentience, becoming less of a threat. You can either think the aliens were defeated, or that a possible sequel will bring the story to a proper conclusion.

Can the big fast ships in Area 2 be killed?!
The Freighters can in theory be killed, but in practice not. They have limited armor, but there's not enough time to apply the required damage. They don't even have an explosion animation, since I doubt it'll ever be needed. Basically, it's been designed to be an obstacle you have to go around. The initial story also suggests that humans are kept as slaves on cargo ships, so killing the Freighters could be considered mass murder of innocent humans. So please, don't try to kill the Freighters. xP

What's the best weapon?
Depends on your playstyle. If you can control overheating, I'd say Laser of Plasma is the most effective, and they apply damage really quick. If you can't cope well with overheating, all the other weapons are more suitable, particularly Gun and Rockets. Rockets don't heat at all, and can be powerful against slow and big targets.

What's your favorite weapon?
Hmm... Laser in early game, Gun or Plasma for the boss battle, and Rockets later on in long Marathons, since overheating becomes a problem more easily, due to the enemies being tougher and faster. I do use all weapons though, but those are my favorites, I guess.

What's your or the all-time hi-score?
Not sure about all-time, but I've managed to play four playthroughs in Marathon mode, ending up with little over 650000. I've made some changes since then though, so you can't consider it a valid hi-score on the release version. I've managed to go past 500000 on multiple occasions though. Mission mode hi-score relies a lot on luck with enemy spawns, so it's not such a good way to evaluate skills. I usually end up with a little over 100000 in Mission mode. The boss supplies most of the points.

[EDIT] I've been going for Marathon hi-scores with the latest version 1.03, and I'm yet to get even 500000 points. Current hi-score is 434450. The enemies have grown considerably harder in Marathon since the pre-v1.0 versions. Much more like I originally wanted things to be. Third playthrough usually gets tough enough to make passing Area 2 a challenge.

What's the best way to defeat the boss?
Depends on your equipped weapon. Generally I find it a good idea to get either Gun or Plasma, and focus fire first on one of the Henchman Ships (the two ships that appear alongside the boss) from below, then move near the center and try to apply as much damage to both the Henchmen and the Boss simultaneously. Easier with Gun, since you have more time to plan evading the boss ammo, but Plasma does more damage, so it's quicker. Once one of the Henchmen is down, you have more space to move in at that corner. At that point it's good to evaluate the situation. If you're low on armor, focus on the boss alone, but if you've got plenty, then try to take out the other Henchman as well (it'll be already on low armor since you've bombarded it as well with Gun or Plasma). Taking out the Henchmen gives you more space to move in, removes the threat of the Henchmen firing the blue Ion Balls from the sides, and they're worth plenty of points too, for hi-score runners! After that, evading the boss bullets and the Kamikaze Ships is as easy as the boss will ever get, so focus on evading them. If one of the Kamikaze ships drops Rockets, I recommend picking them up, so you can keep firing constantly, without having to worry about overheating, and thus you can focus solely on evading the boss bullets. Going at the boss with Rockets or Laser equipped at the start makes killing the Henchmen much harder, since getting the sidefires to hit the Henchmen becomes much more challenging, if not near impossible.

[EDIT] Wave is also good against the Henchmen ships, but can require some fast reflexes if the Boss decides to spam a lot of stuff in your general direction.

Something about online hi-scores, I heard?
I'm considering making a version with online hi-scores, so you can compare your achievements with other players. More about this later on.
