Big fan off IK+, Fist 2. I tested the game had the same controls as the Commondore, that was a nostalgic blast for me. I wonder how you made the controls. I have dreamt of making a game just like Fist 2. I'm going to keep an eye on this project.

Thanks for checking it out, really appreciate it!

The controls are just the standard CF2.5 inbuilt joystick commands.

The high and mid side kicks and low roundhouse work like the original - you have to hold the button and direction until the kick completes, or if you release early you can fake a kick.
I split each kick into 2 animations; first animation goes from fighting stance to kick fully extended and plays when you press the corresponding direction and button, it cancels if you stop pressing them. Once the kick fully extends, if you release the buttons, the second animation showing the kick retract and recovery to fighting stance plays.

I also used a cooldown counter to stop a player spamming the same move.

I changed a few things from the C64/ZX Spectrum version - I tried it with pushing back to block, which worked, but I wanted to give the player the option to move back, so I put blocking where jump/crouch would have been. I took the forward and backward somersaults, jump and crouch out because I never liked them, but added some new moves instead.

Almost finished the IK+ style 1 vs 1 vs 1 stage, I'll post a playable update soon.
