CHRIS:
Another quite literally soundless entry, this effort by Arkhaor is a moderately attractive, yet difficult platformer. From the word go, the title screen presentation is awful; clearly tacked on at the last minute, and the Help feature doesn't work. Once you step foot into the game, you quickly realise that it's very user unfriendly. Almost immediately your character is bombarded with missiles that travel towards you far too quickly, and to be honest I found it hard to get anywhere without being killed. The game is ridiculously hard, to the point that I stopped playing fairly quickly. The graphics are fairly good, to be fair, and they do evoke a Christmas spirit of sorts, but the lack of fairness ensures that this is not my favourite entry.
ASSAULT ANDY:
No animations?
Graphics look nice but need animations.
Needs sound.
Movement is a bit dodgy, and the physics/acceleration/speeds didn't feel right to me.
I didn't feel that the game was all that fun to play. The movement was a big factor in this as well as how many shots it too to kill enemies and how slowly you shot.
Code is a bit messy.
