Camtroller

Uses Physicam technology to control your games using a webcam instead of a keyboard. I have used it successfully with MMF/TGF games (Camtroller was built with MMF). Using the Camtroller, you can easily create custom settings to use a web cam to control your games. Simply choose where you would like the motion sensors to be, and what buttons they will push. You can create different settings for each one of your games.

The Camtroller software is a stand alone application provided so that game players and makers can easy retrofit web cam controls for their favorite games, without having to intervene with the application itself. This download does also include the Physicam Control, which of course can be directly embedded in MMF applications.

Correct. I ran that site back in the day.
There is a tutorial for using the object at: http://www.clickteam.com/CTforum/showflat.php3?Board=upload&Number=296046

OMG I've been wanting to do this for like ever, now I just need to get windows to see my webcam...

Dangit. I was using a activeX object and I can close to this but good for you for doing it before me I bet I would have got it if I tryed hard enough.

Did you get this idea from I toy?

Posted by Reno 27th April, 2006

but this is kinda stupid

Posted by 27th April, 2006

lol, Looks nice.

Looks great. This would be awesome for things like an Eye Toy for the PC. Or perhaps a dodging game, where you move your hand to avoid obstacles in a game.

@Kitty, no shit it's from EyeToy, it's basicly the exact same thing as EyeToy, but for a PC.

Posted by Jack Games 28th April, 2006

Correct - same concept as EyeToy - With the added feature of being able to retrofit to existing games and using it on games you already have or like, rather than just playing the few that Sony puts out.

This REALLY makes me want to get myself a webcam... I'm voting 'thumbs up' just to express my appreciation of you putting this aplication here

Posted by Silveraura 28th April, 2006

I would give it a thumbs up, but even though the attempt is impressive, the actual engine will be the thing that recieves my thumbs up. I'll have to avoid voting unless I can somehow get a webcam.

It's pretty cool, but kind of useless. I'll be sure to figure out everything the ActiveX can do .

Can anyone else see it? Ultimate Punch-it.

I've been toying with this ever since Jordan announced it (though I don't have a webcam at the moment!).

It could be fun.

Making a boxing game would be easy; simply detect if the two red balls collide at a high enough velocity.

I have the programme but dont know how to link it with MMf/TGF?

Posted by alibaba 29th April, 2006

Oh i figured it out!

@TeaPot: heyy! Smart, Punch it!

Very nice! This should open up quite a few new avenues of design for click games. Well done Jack, well done.

Great program! I tried it out with my webcam. Worked pretty good.
