Well, I wasn't sure where to post this, but I would love to get some opinions on different techniques that alot of you guys use as animating. To be honest, I am sure there is no really easy way to animate, but if there is a way that anyone knows that would cut down on time that would be great.
The technique I'm currently using with photoshop involves a layer dedicated to each part and each limb placed inside a folder, and that is nicely placed in another folder, which I then copy when done and rotate/stretch/redraw each part to fit the next piece of the animation. In my opinion it works great, but with the garbage computer I'm using it tends to slow up a bit, especially when working with a large animation.
Like I said, I use Photoshop, but I also am equipped with Flash, 3DS Max, Blender and ZBrush, although I've gently used them, mostly since I'm so comfortable with Photoshop.
That looked like it took a huge amount of time to make, though much like any other form of animation.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.

I like how he saves it as an image, rather than doing it all in one file, I'm going to have to start doing that. I'm going to have to get used to not seeing the rest of it though, but I suppose it would be alot easier to carry over to MMF. Thanks alot for re-posting that, Adam. You mentioned using photoshop this way, but what way do you usually work with your animations?
I tend to like putting things on paper first - i find it quicker and easier for my brain to get around pencil and paper rather than computer screens. When i'm happy, i transfer what i've drawn to the screen using Photoshop etc. This generally works for me.
I don't think anyone will find a right and a wrong way to animate, just goos ways and bad ways! It's all down to taste really. Good video though, -Adam-.
I'm finding the frame slider in MMF2's picture editor to be a complete Godsend. Sure, you still have to do most of the work outside of that, but it's really helpful and much needed.

I just found, in photoshop cs3, in the windows menu on the top, there is a window called "animations", and it's a menu that functions very similar to the animation slider in the clickteam products. This should make things a hell of alot easier.
