Basic Commands

`/nick nickname`	- This will change your nick to what you specify, Valid nicks can have a-Z, 0-9, that includes the special charactors _ \ { } [ ] ^ ` - \|
`/me action`	- perform an action.. such as /me coughs
`/whois nickname`	- Whois a user, doesnt serve much perpose on here though
`/restart`	- Restart the chat application, Use if you get disconnected
`/silence +NickName!@`	- Block someones messages from reaching you, it must be +NickName!@, and you may use wildcards in the nickname (* = anything.. ? = single charactor).. such as +Club!@
`/silence -NickName!@`	- Remove user from your block.. same as above, but replace the + with a -
`Colours...`	- You may use colours in your messages by typing Ctrl+K at the start of your message or where you want to start the colour, then the number from 0 - 15 of the colour you want displayed above the text box

Registering Nicknames

If you plan to visit regularilly, its suggested you register your nickname, The IRC server is seperate from our site so we dont control this. Registering also secures your nickname from other people registering it.

Registering is done by typing:
/nickserv register password email

Once a nick is registered, each time you connect, you must identify with:
/nickserv identify password

FAQ

Q: Why do some people have @ or + infront of their nicks?
A: The @ symbol indicates a user is a channel operator, who can kick/ban a user in the channel, such as moderators.. known as an Op for short. The + indicates a voiced user, this serves no perpose in our channel for now

Q: I connect, but dont join the channel, whats up?
A: Theres a possibility that you are banned from the channel, this may be something you've done, or a blanket ban on your ISP, caused by someone else. Try emailing tdcIRC -at- uk.hn.org if you think you've been banned wrongfully

Q: I've been kicked! What do I do?
A: If you've been kicked, you may rejoin the channel by /restart ing

Q: It says my nickname is in use
A: The server our channel is on is public, therefor popular names can be in use already. If you have recently disconnected, and have reconnected to discover your nick is in use.. this is usually caused by your old connection still on the server, known as a ghost.. These will usually "Ping Timeout" or "Connection reset by peer" after a while, meaning you can use the name again. Alternatively, if you have registered your nickname, just type in a temporary nick, and type /nickserv ghost NickName password to kill your nick from the server, allowing you to use it again (see /nick above)

Q: Whats Erroneous Nickname?
A: You may have used a special char in your nickname that isn't allowed, see up the top of the page for the allowed charactors.. If this doesnt help, you may have a number on the start or end of your name, some servers dont like this

Q: How can I become an op?
A: I and the other staff will decide who to op, please dont ask us
