Lots of great content this episode! All the previewed games looked pretty fantastic. (particularly FableQuest, I must say) The intro music and video are awesomeness. Also, Chris' reviews were very well-rounded.

Loved it !
It made me realize how crap my small teaser was, the frame rate was bad it made the character animation skip a few frames.
btw rikus that music did fit perfectly.

Other than that I found the previews very interesting.
It was also a great way to become aware of some great games that I didn't know about.

The reviews were very nice too btw.

Great work everybody !

Thanks Clayton! Glad you liked the FQ preview.

One of the things that I enjoy about Klikcast is that every episode feels unique in its own right. Not once have I watched an episode and thought to myself "meh, same stuff as last month." It gets different and better each time.

I loved the recap of all the games in the beginning, and I really enjoyed some of the previews and reviews. A real treat to watch, like always!

I am so glad everyone so far still liked the Episode, so much time and efford goes into this with everyone in involved so its cool to hear people are still enjoying it.

Please if you watched the episode feel free to comment on it here!

Ps. You will not find the answer to the klikcast compo in the video. This is related to the entire site so you better start lookin in one of the download pages itself! Sorry if this was not clear enough.

Posted by Cecilectomy 25th August, 2009

um wait. what? did he say iphone runtime? O_o @19:57
it clearly sounded like it! i listened to it a few times. when did this happen?! how would that even work?

Posted by [DELETED] 25th August, 2009

Dunno but he said it'd be expensive since fewer people would buy it and also I think normally it costs a fair bit to use anyway.

Some pretty exciting stuff.

Posted by Cecilectomy 25th August, 2009

im pretty sure the iphone sdk is free on apples site. it might cost a subscribers fee to actually put content on the app store though. he said if anyone were to use the iphone runtime theyd 100% plan on selling their content, so in order to make money theyd sell it pretty fairly expensive.

75$ for flash? i heard 50% off in there somewhere too. but its hard to understand that man . thats a good deal. 2grand for the tools from adobe.

Can't wait for the iPhone and XBLA runtimes. I wonder why Android got precedence.

Posted by The Chris Street 26th August, 2009

The thing I'm concerned with is, if Clickteam work on an XNA runtime it might be outdated if Microsoft decide to release a new games console.

Posted by Cecilectomy 27th August, 2009

chris. according to microsoft, the xbox is not even at its halfway point in its lifecycle. this gen has only been about 5 years? sony has a usual around 10 year console life and microsoft expects 360 to be around for a long while with natal giving it extra life (at least they expect it to)

Posted by OMC 27th August, 2009
Rated :

Well look at it this way. If you could make games for the PS2, would you?

Also I entirely expect Microsoft to keep XNA compatible with whatever console they release next. It would be stupid not to.

Very very very very happy about iphone runtime! Here I was downloading loads of learning material for C++ and objective C, just so I could learn to remake some of my games and apps for iphone, but now I can just stick with what I know best, good ol mmf2!

Posted by Watermelon876 30th August, 2009

Hey, do you have any way to download the episode? Flash Player doesn't work for me.
